Microsoft OneNote received an update on iOS today that brings much-awaited ‌Dark Mode‌ support to the popular note-taking app.
  1. Dec 11, 2018 Microsoft has today released an update to its Office 365 suite for the Mac. Today’s update brings full compatibility with the latest macOS release, Mojave. It also now supports Mojave’s system-wide Dark Mode feature, making all the window chrome dark instead of a stark white.
  2. On the Mac if you're an Office 365 or 2019 subscriber you can set macOS to Dark Mode and Office will respect that choice. If you're still using Office 2016 you can choose between two Office themes: Colorful or Classic. To change the Office theme click on the menu for your Office application (Word, Excel, etc) and select Preferences General.

OneNote is usually a particularly bright app because of the large white scrollable canvases and pale menus, so this update should be a welcome one for users who work with it long into the night.

Apart from supporting the new system-wide ‌Dark Mode‌ in iOS 13 and iPadOS, version 16.30 of OneNote makes no other changes to the app, as per the release notes:

Microsoft has been adding ‌Dark Mode‌ support to a range of its apps. A Sticky Notes beta gained a dark mode earlier this month, while the rest of the Office iOS apps including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel already sport the twilight look in insider builds and are expected to go live with it any day now.

Back in October, Microsoft debuted an early look at upcoming changes to its Microsoft Office suite, including a full-fledged dark mode for macOS Mojave users. Following testing via Office Insiders, the feature has made its public debut, putting a darker twist on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Dark mode support rolls out with version 16.20.0 (Build 18120801) of Office for Mac, released on December 11, 2018. Alongside these new visual options, the update integrates Apple's Continuity Camera for quick image insertion from mobile, and miscellaneous Outlook upgrades. Word

  • Turn Off Forwarding for a Meeting: Prevent attendees from forwarding your meetings to others.
  • Use Teams to Connect to your Meetings: Work with remote teams? Use Teams in Outlook to schedule and join online meetings.
  • See who's coming to the meeting: Click any meeting or event in your calendar to see who plans to be there.
  • View three time zones: Need to schedule a meeting across time zones? Add multiple time zones to your calendar to easily see everyone's availability and pick a time that works for all.
